McDonald's x Hello Kitty Taiwanese Mahjong Set - Includes Dice and Wind Indicator - 28mmx38mmx21mm

Each set comes in a faux-leather mahjong box with the same McDonald’s and Hello Kitty branding featured on the red tile back. Aside from the tiles, the box comes with everything you need to play mahjong: three dice and a wind indicator. There are also two blank tiles in case you lose any of the tiles in the original set.

The traditional motifs usually seen on mahjong tiles take on an adorable twist in this exclusive set to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary and the 2024 Chinese New Year. The bamboo suit has been replaced with french fries and the usual red, green, and blue dots are now yellow, green, and brown, resembling the patty, lettuce, and bun respectively. Each of the honor tiles includes Hello Kitty’s signature red bow, while the white dragon tile features the top of the character’s head peeking out from the frame. The flower tiles, too, have been replaced with Hello Kitty eating or sipping on various McDonald’s classics.

What you needed to do is download McDonald’s Hong Kong app starting on January 18, 2024 and purchase 10 HK$20 food gift certificates. From there, an option will show up for you to add the McDonald’s x Hello Kitty mahjong set. Once your order was confirmed, you could have picked up the mahjong set and vouchers on the same day at the designated McDonald’s locations in Hong Kong.
